Allbirds

I have been looking for a casual, comfortable pair of sneakers since the summer…just to walk around in during the fall season with a pair of leggings or joggers. I follow many bloggers from out West and I kept seeing photos of these super cute running shoes. I went online to read a bit more before I purchased them and this is what I found out…

The company was started by two men. Tim Brown from New Zealand and Joey Zwillinger from San Francisco. The two wanted to create a comfortable shoe made of natural, sustainable resources as opposed to synthetic material.

The shoes design is simplistic with few logos or bold designs and the color choices are pretty neutral. They designed a pair of Wool Runners and Wool Loungers (slip ons) that come in Men’s and Women’s sizes. The Wool Runners come in Kids sizes (and they’re adorable!)

I purchased the Wool Runners in Natural Black and I love them. They feel like you’re wearing slippers but with a supportive sole. They are very comfortable and soft on my feet. They claim to minimize odor, regulate temperature, and wick moisture which I feel to be true. I have been wearing them for over 2 weeks now and I haven’t over heated in them, even when I’ve worn them on long walks. I rarely wear socks with my runners when I run errands and they don’t seem to smell bad!! I have a friend who throws her Allbirds in the washing machine. I have yet to do that but I’ll let you know when I do!
